WHAT IS HYPNOSIS?
From Movies and TV we have been given the idea that Hypnosis is some kind of “Mind Control”.
Actually hypnosis is about YOU taking back control of those parts of your life that seem to have gotten out of control.
Hypnosis is a natural process to achieve a state of mind in which your subconscious is more receptive to positive suggestion, insight and releasing negative feelings. Hypnosis is very effective to make immediate and lasting change in our attitudes and behaviors and substantially improving our lives.
Hypnosis is not something that is done TO YOU but really it is a skill that you can develop. The hypnotist is the GUIDE that helps you to get to that state of hypnosis.
Once you learn how to enter the Hypnotic state you can, and should, use the skill regularly for self improvement.
The Hypnotic state is actually a very natural state that we enter into several times per day.
You probably don’t realize that you enter into hypnotic state when you are engrossed in a hobby, daydreaming or captivated by a movie or reading a book.
Also when you imagine a bad scenario and play it over and over in your mind you are using hypnosis to create a state of fear and anxiety.
So the truth is you have already been using hypnosis throughout your life sometimes to create positive productive habits and sometimes to produce negative, destructive habits.
By using hypnosis in the correct way we can make changes that are INSTANT and dramatic. Again, hypnosis is not “magic” but the results can seem magical.
